Dyson DC-18 Pre Filter is a generic washable filter for the Dyson DC18 models only. This filter is located directly underneath of the dust bin when it has been removed from the vacuum. You can find the filter by finding where the air is being exhausted. This filter should be replaced at least every 3 months. If you notice that your Dyson has lost some of the suction since you've had it, cleaning the filter should be the first place to start. Note: Please make sure that this filter is 100% completely air dry before installing and using in the vacuum cleaner. You WILL damage your motor if you install this filter wet inside the vacuum cleaner. The more often you wash this filter, the longer your Dyson Slim will last you.
