Will this work in my 1692 power nozzle?

This is the closest you can get to the switch for 1692 which is no longer available. Please note that this switch does not have the metal top with prongs that fits into the plastic housing. But we have been told by our technician that this switch does work for your PN.

I have a power nozzle 137 m I recently replaced the elbow and the vacuum still only works intermittently. Will this part remedy that issue?

Yes. That could be the problem with the vacuum.
