We have long hair at home so we have to replace the brushroll in our Eureka C5712A vacuum about 2x per year. The problem is that the hair wraps around the ends and they melt, I guess from the friction, because they are plastic. If they were metal this wouldn't be an issue. It seems silly to have to buy a whole roller assembly when it is only the ends that need to be replaced but unfortunately those pieces aren't sold separately. However this is still less trouble than most vacuums so we keep it until we can save for a Dyson.

Part was just as expected but cost about 20.00. Wal-mart had the whole vac on sale at Christmas for 35.00. Which it would have broken then and I would have just bought a new one.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased this roller and its excellent. Somehow, I find it better than the OEM roller as the bearings have a better cap on the side. And its Made in USA, can't go wrong with US made products.

I purchased one from this website 1.5 years ago and it ran extremely well - my house has too much hair which is why it gave up but I must add that this roller has better design than the OEM. And moreover, its MADE IN USA. Pricing is also excellent.
