We went several months without a beater bar after my children vacuumed up a blanket with our Hoover canister vacuum. I searched but could not find the "gui-tz 3m-177-6" belt anywhere. So recently I started looking for a new canister vacuum during which I happened to see a link to this belt on Amazon. The price seemed worth the risk--but would a belt listed for the upright fit the canister? Indeed it did (same markings, so not too surprising), saving me hundreds that I was considering spending on a replacement vacuum. Thanks!

vac belt arrived quickly and its and exact replacement for my Hoover. seems like a lot of money for a tiny belt. but hoover doesnt sell it, on their website.

I have purchased this built after I lost hope of getting it from Hoover (they would not even provide the part number) or any of its support centers; I was not sure if it would fit, but the built number was a close match; the built came in no time; the online experience was quick; I installed the built in no time and now it works fine.

I am disappointed with Hoover as I was told that built s and hoses are not part of the warranty (quality for internal parts !!)

We purchased this belt for the Hoover Multi Cyclonic SH400600 vacuum cleaner. The belt is for the attachment with the beater brush bar for vacuuming the carpet. It works great!

Replacing the belt was the right thing to do. There was a review that the belt "never" needs replacing, I disagree. My wife said that the vacuum was making a weird noise and I found the same to be true. It did take me a few minutes to figure out the how-to, but after changing the belt, it runs like a dream. I recommend belt replacement when that weird noise shows up.
