Oreck Upright Vacuum Bag Connector and Handle for Late 9000 Series 0152667

I have purchased this as a future repair part as I have repaired the existing connector which may take awhile before it fails again. This a like for like connector so given that the current one failed with moderate weekly use over about a ten year period I would expect this one to last in a similar time frame. Having said that I think it is designed to last about that long give a year longer or 3 years shorter depending on frequency of use and intensity. I think given how expensive these units are if you get ten years and spend few hundred dollars(300-500) on them you are getting a reasonable return, assuming they perform well in that period of time. If you can repair them yourself, after that 10 yr period is when you start to get more than your investment assuming you are not doing a significant overhaul and sinking more than $100 in the unit.
