What kind of flooring is the HAAN safe to use on?

The HAAN Classic is safe to use on all sealed surface types; for example laminate, hardwood, tile, vinyl, linoleum, slate, stone & marble. Your floor sanitizer is designed to clean surfaces that will withstand high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood or floors with a wax/no wax finish.

Carpet trays are available for HAAN steamers so that your steamer can sanitize, refresh and help deodorize the soft surfaces around your home too.

Do you use the carpet tray with or without the Ultra-microfiber pad?

The carpet tray was designed to be used without the Ultra-microfiber pad. The carpet tray can also be used in conjunction with the optional short handle to sanitize, refresh and deodorize soft surfaces like mattresses, pet beds and upholstery.

Can you use chemicals in the unit?

No, the HAAN unit is designed to emit a pure water vapor, free of chemicals. By adding a chemical you may damage the boiling mechanism. Adding chemicals to your machine will void your manufacturer's warranty.

Is the use of distilled water necessary?

Though we recommend using distilled water, you may use plain tap water. Depending on the hardness of your water, you may need to use HAAN lime and scale remover to the tank to remove the buildup that hard water can cause.

How long does a pad last before needing to be changed?

The pad when used correctly should be changed every 10 - 15 minutes, or when the pad is saturated and becomes difficult to push. When heating up your unit, the pad should not be attached. This will cause it to become over-saturated more quickly.

How long does a tank of water last?

A tank should last approximately 15 - 20 minutes.

How long do I need to wait for the HAAN to heat before using?

It takes approximately 2-3 minutes for the HAAN to be ready for use. The black thermal sticker on the fill cap will change colors to orange when the water is heated and ready for use. The unit should always be placed on the black resting mat without the pad attached while heating.

My unit did not come with a short handle or carpet tray. How do I purchase one?

Yes. The bonnet needs to fit tight to the Mini Steam Head to allow the steam to flow through. If the bonnet was not tight fitting or loose, the steam would become trapped and not sanitize as effectively.

Can the MULTI be used vertical?

The hand-held steamer will work temporarily when used at an upward angle or vertical position; however the best position for the most effective clean is to use the SI70 in a horizontal position.

Why can't I see much steam coming from the hand-held steamer?

The MULTI is not a pressurized hand-held steamer like the HAAN ALLPRO, however the steam emitted from this machine is still powerful enough to clean tough messes and sanitize 99.9% of germs, bacteria and dust mites. The steam emitted from the hand-held portion of the MULTI is a very fine vapor that is very hot, which can result in the steam being less visible.

What is CR Motion?

CR Motion is a technology that enhances the natural pull-and-push motion of standard steam mops and takes steam cleaning to a whole new level. The process is simple; water passes through a machine powered pump, enters and is heated by a SCR circuit heater and is evenly dispersed through two sets of 10 steam jets. Each set of steam jets are positioned on 2 counter reciprocating steam plates that move at a rate of 850 cycles per minute.

How do I turn on the CR Motion function?

On the bottom right side of the head unit, you will find a switch that states Pad on/off. Gently press the switch to turn the function on. To turn the function off, press the switch again.

*Remember the unit is HOT. Please do not touch the unit while in use or in the cool down process as it could result in a burn.

*This is used to turn the CR Motion™ on/off only. To turn the unit off, have customer locate the power switch on the front of the unit.

How do I turn on the SS20?

On the front of the unit (black) you will find a power switch. The unit is on when you see an orange light illuminating.

Do you need to apply force while using the CR Motion™?

Applying a gentle force to remove a stubborn stain will add an extra boost to your cleaning. If using excessive force, you may cause damage to your flooring or damage your unit.

Can I use the pads/brushes with the Carpet tray?

DO NOT use CR-motion™ when Carpet Glide is attached to unit. Doing so could result in product malfunction or product failure.

The microfiber pads are Ideal when using the steam function by itself or with CR-motion™ activated. Great for cleaning laminate, hardwood, tile and vinyl surfaces. Can also be used to blot fresh stains on carpet.

The Scrub brush attachments are Ideal when using CR-motion™ with or without steam. Great for outdoor use on decks, patios and walkways. Best when used with a cleaning agent. To clean Scrub Brush Attachments rinse with water.

The carpet tray is to be used on your carpet, mattresses, rugs or other soft surfaces that can be used with 212 degrees of steam heat.

The Buffing pads are Ideal when using CR-motion™ without steam. Can be used with a floor agent to polish and shine.

Is the power cord able to get wet?

Yes. This appliance is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding attachment plug. Make sure that the appliance is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adaptor should be used with this appliance.

*Do not immerse the Multiforce in water or any other liquid.

How do I remove the carpet tray?

Locate the gray tab on the back of the unit at the bottom. Gently press down where it says Push and slide the unit out of the tray.

The CR Motion is not working?

Make sure the unit is turned on.

When the unit is off or completely cool, remove any microfiber pads, carpet trays etc, check for any debris that may have lodged itself.

What are the available colors for the SS-25?

The only color it comes in is red & black.

Can I use the SS-25 to sanitize my carpets?

Yes, the carpet glide tray comes with the SS-25 so that you can sanitize your carpets, rugs, mattresses, sofas, etc. When using the carpet tray on soft surfaces, do not use the CR Motion option as this could result in product malfunction or product failure.

How long does it take for the SS-25 to heat?

The SS-25 reaches temperature (212 degrees) in about 40-45 seconds.

Is the clicking/thumping noise I hear normal?

How many watts does the SS-25 use?

The SS-25 uses 1200 watts.

How many steam jets does the SS-25 have?

The SS-25 has 20 steam jets.

Is there a way to adjust the height of the SS-25?

The pole does not adjust height; the unit is 46.5 inches tall when assembled. The pole does slide out easily to use the SS-25 on mattresses or counter tops.

How long is the cord on the SS-25?

The cord length on the SS-25 is 18 feet.

What are the red and silver packets I received, and how do I use them?

These packets are fresh rinse lime and scale remover. Depending on the frequency of use, use one packet every 3 to 6 months. Pour a packet of lime and scale remover into a tank with one cup of water and shake the water tank. Sitting the SS-25 on the black resting mat, allow the solution to steam out through the unit to clean the inside of the unit and remove potential lime and scale build up inside the SS-25.

How long does a tank of water last, and what is the tanks capacity?

The water tank holds 11.83 fl ounces of water and this will last for about 17 minutes on the high setting and 23 minutes on the gentle setting.

Can I use the SS-25 on any type of flooring?

You can use the SS-25 on any sealed hard surface floor that does not have a wax or no wax finish. This includes hardwood, laminate, vinyl, stone and tile. It is recommended that you check with your flooring manufacture before use.

Does the SS25 really kill germs?

Absolutely! Because the SS-25 emits steam through the pad in excess of 212 degrees Fahrenheit, germs, bacteria, dust mites and allergens are killed almost instantly.

How often do I need to buy new cleaning pads?

A. The two patented Ultra-Microfiber pads included with your HAAN SS-25 are reusable. You simply toss them in the wash machine but please do not use fabric softener or bleach. We recommend air drying, but you can also dry them on a low setting in your dryer.

B. Depending on how frequently the machine is used depends on the life expectancy of the pad. Typically a Micro-Fiber pads life expectancy can range from 4-6 months.

Why does the SS25 not swivel easy?

A: The swivel head works on a spring system. If the mechanism was to loose, it could wear down the hinge and not be able to stand on its own.

B: To maneuver the swivel head roll your wrist from side to side.

Love-less Ash Company History

Out of the rural, coal-mining town of Price, Utah, Love-Less Ash Company was founded in July of 1988. Mike Loveless invented the original Ash Vacuum in 1983 because his wife, Colleen, had had it with the dust that was associated with their wood stove. The original ash vacuum was used for 5 years in their home while friends and family wanted one just like it. Finally, they ventured into the business of manufacturing ash vacuums for resale and did it in a one-car garage. Mike handled all research and development while Colleen handled the business end of things. Mike received his first patent in 1989, his second in 1993, his third in 1997 and his 4th in 1999.

The first Ash Vacuums produced, were attachments to another vacuum source. They had a fire retardant filter and the customer’s home vacuum acted as the second filter. The original vacuums were well received but some stove owners needed time to get used to the concept of VACUUMING the ash from their stoves. It had not been successfully done before this time. In 1990, a motorized unit was introduced and was exactly what the public wanted. The Cheetah was introduced and has been modified to be the Cheetah II. It is now the standard size for ease and convenience in the market place. The Cougar was introduced in 1999 and is also a quiet version of the Cheetah II.

In April of 1997, a second specialty vacuum was introduced to market. This was a 16 gallon "Dustless" Wet/Dry & Drywall Vacuum. It had been on the drawing board for 3-4 years.

Wet/Dry & Drywall Vacuums will handle the very fine dust such as sheet rock and sanded concrete dust and the consumer can change from dry to wet and back to dry applications without changing the filters and still maintain great suction. The 16002 was introduced in 1998 and the "Quiet" 16004 QV hit the market in 1999.

The Turbo Drywall Sander was introduced to market in November of 2000. It was 3 years in the making. This new tool is revolutionizing – sanding drywall. This sander is powered by the suction of our drywall vac. The head vibrates to do the sanding for you while the tube draws the dust right into the vacuum. The remodeling industry has been asking for a product like this for years and we are pleased to have it available. Now a totally "dust free" solution to a very messy job.

The company has changed its manufacturing facility three times. It moved from a one-car garage to a new and larger shop, to the facility it is in presently.
