how to tell if your dyson dc 14 as a clutch assembly?
If you dyson DC14 came with twisted plastic brushroll, then most likely it has a clutch assembly.
Remove the bottom plate. If you see two belts side by side, then your dc14 has a clutch assembly

Review by Pink DC07Quality Price Value DC07 - The Pink dirt sucker has been broke for a while and we thought our carpets were going bad until I took it apart to find the belts had streched so far the brush was not spinning while on the carpet. Belts never broke, very odd! Played it safe and replaced the entire clutch assembly given the reasonable price. Very impressed with the products recieved, including the belt holder device which was not available at the other online stores I looked at. Also very pleased on how quickly they arrived. My wife is happy again! Thanks EZVacuum, I will certainly shop with you again.

DC14 Clutch Assembly Replacement
Review by denfPrice Value Quality I can't fault the Dyson company for my vacuum's clutch failure - the machine has been a real workhorse during the several years I've owned it. I originally thought it needed a simple belt replacement, but that was unsuccessful. I ordered a new clutch from EZ Vacuum, and it arrived promptly. The Price was very reasonable and the transaction went smoothly. Tanks for your great service!
Incidentally, the vacuum now runs like new gobbling up the cat hair around here. What a lifesaver.
