Works Great
Review by DocQuality Price Value This brush roller was purchased for an old Hoover Decade 80 vacuum. This old vacuum works better than our whole house vacuum system so I had to keep it working. This roller has rejuvenated the vacuum and it now works as well as when it was new 30 years ago.

Brushroll performance
Review by BobPrice Value Quality I was skeptical about this at first because it did not have a beater bar, just brushes but it seams to work fine. The vac picks up dirt just fine the motor now turns up at proper rpm which I assume helps with the vacuum pressure. All in all since you cant find one with a beater bar this is the best way to keep the old girl working.

Review by guestPrice Value Quality Bought this brushroll to replace a metal brushroll with beater bars and very worn bristles. This roller with its two rows of bristles does an excellent job picking up the small bits of debris which the other brushroll would leave behind. I only use the vacuum on low pile carpet so I don't think I will miss the beater bars at all. Even though this brushroll is made of plastic, it appears to be high quality and I see no reason it won't last for many years. I suggest that anyone purchasing this roller also purchase some drive belts as well since they are becoming difficult to find locally.

Review by guestPrice Value Quality Fit well in my 1978 vintage Hoover Upright Convertible damaged in Hurricane Irene. Has nice addition of side brushes. Since it is all plastic (original was wooden with steel endcaps, 33yrs old), it's durability can only be determined with time.
