Brush bar not available for US dc15 model but can a UK head assembly be exchanged on the machine to avoid scraping out an otherwise good vaccuum?

dyson made two versions of this roller. the one I need has a short roller length of 4 1/8' and a long roller length of 8 1/4". Please confirm size.

This will fit only if you have a Gray roller. If it is black roller, it wont. It has been discontinued.
