Replacement Dyson Brushbar Assembly. Fits Dyson DC65, DC66, UP13 Allergy & MultiFloor vacuum cleaner models. If your model has 1 short tab & 1 long tab, please check 967040-01
Fits models which has two short tabs as illustrated on the picture of the end cap. Longer side is 7 1/4" and shorter side is 4 1/4". This roller may be delivered in black color since blue is very hard to find now.

A: Your description of the DC66 brush bar part explained the situation already. There are two versions of the DC66 Vacuum, one needs short tabs and one needs long. I dunno why Dyson didn't further differentiate those two models into like.. DC66A and DC66B or something, I imagine half the people who order this part get the wrong one not realizing there are indeed more than one version of the DC66.
