having a problem lining filters with the clips Eureka DCF-18/4 with my model 5550 eureka. what could be the problem?

Some customers have told us that they had to pinch the pins forcefully into the filter holding tabs. It could be due to some machines having a slightly wider pin placement than what Eureka filter now has.
