My old part number is 37194-041 , which is original to my Hoover GUV L2310. Will this motor work as a replacement?
A:
I have the same model Hoover GUV Vacuum with the same original motor. This motor fits but is slightly smaller than the original. I did get it installed and it works great so far. You just have to modify the mounting brackets. I flattened out the original 90° clips in a vice and then filed a groove in the end with the slot. I also shortened the standoffs by approximately 0.250 inch. Reassemble the long screws and bracket as original. I then positioned the new motor so that the two mounting bosses lined up with the end flattened bracket where I filed a groove. I then added a couple screws to the motor mounting bosses to attach the brackets.
