How to change belt on a Rainbow D4
The following instructional video will also work for D3, D4 & SE power nozzles
Step by Step Instructions on Rainbow Power Nozzle Belt Replacement
Step 1: Unplug the vacuum. remove the power nozzle from the wand
Step2: Turn the nozzle upside down so that the base plate is visible
Step 3: Remove the two screws using Phillips screwdriver. Set them aside
Step 4: Lift the base plate so that the inside is exposed. You will now see the brushroll and the belt. It is always better to clean the brushroll. remove debris, dust and other stuff before you put the new belt. If the brushroll seems tight, then it is advised that you change the roller brush too.
Step 5: Take the new belt and gently roll it over the motor pulley and then over the beater bar's pulley. You may have to use some elbow grease as newer belts tend to be little tighter initially. Make sure it is moving freely while you roll the brushroll with your hand.
Step 6: Put the base plate on the nozzle and tighten the 2 screws. Hook it to the wand.
