This was an excellent piece and so relieved I found it. It was difficult to find instructions of how to replace it on the vacuum. That is the only part of the repair I struggled with, but eventually figured out.

Exactly what I needed. I was frustrated with Kenmore as they stated "no longer available.".How do you access such oarts?

The part was the perfect replacement as the brushes (which float the part above the floor) had worn down significantly. Be aware that there are many electrical components which must be carefully transferred from old to new parts. Very good buying experience, having the right parts at a good price, and shipped reasonably quick.
