Oreck's docking upright vacuums are equipped with a bag docking door. The dust bag is slid into position on the bag docking door, and the door is then snapped into place. The system is designed to lock the bag in position, thereby avoiding the escape of any dust. Oreck with Docking System Bags Oreck's older upright models are not equipped with the docking system of dust bag installation. Users of these machines have to slide the bag into position themselves and ensure the bag is securely locked in place. There are two lips, A and B, on the connector assembly within the outer permanent dust bag. The bottom of the disposable dust bag's collar opening is hooked under Lip B. It is then pulled upward and snapped over Lip A. When full, the bag is removed using the reverse procedure. Oreck's without docking System bags
