Order Packer / Shipping & Receiving Assistant

We are looking for a shipping assistant in our warehouse for a very easy job of sorting, putting label/stickers on light weight items. You are required to process orders using our shipping software and then pick the required products, verifying items using pick/packing slips. 

Duties: 
- Perform picking and packing tasks for order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy in order picking.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Receiving of incoming goods and shipping of outbound 
- Picking parts to fulfill customer orders 
- Organize materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized and efficient work area 
- Identify and assist in process improvement measures 
- Performing other duties and tasks not listed and as requested by the shipping supervisor 

Note: Packages are mostly small. You are not required to operate any forklift or heavy machinery. No walking around the warehouse is required for a packer. Items are brought to your station, and you will be packing them using different package envelopes as needed by the item.

You must 
- speak, read and write English 
- have good general motor skills 
- must follow instructions 
- be detail oriented and focused 
- be not distracted and get bored with a mundane job of packing items 
- have basic computer skills although we do not need that to begin with
- be able to take ownership of tasks and complete them with urgency 
- be able to bend/stand/walk throughout the shift 

Minimum Requirements: 
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. 
- Fresher can also be considered. 
- 1-6 months experience is a plus. 
- Valid VA Driver's License. 
- Bilingual is a plus: English/Hindi/Punjabi/Nepalese. 

Compensation starts from $15 per hour with room to grow in responsibility and pay. This is a 5 day job - Monday thru Saturday starting at 9am.
