EZvacuum - good; Hoover - eh

Hoover: Forced to buy entire assembly when only the one brush was bad because of the broken drive shaft. There was probably too much stress on the drive shaft due to lack of lint removal. My old unit turned easier than new unit and showed no signs of wear (well maybe minute signs on the bristles) after the lint was cleaned out. I suspect that is the situation for a vast majority of the replacements. Why is this single brush not available separately from Hoover for a lot less money?

Great price on an item I expect to have to replace.
Review by Mr. BrewPrice Value Quality I wish the drive post was made of a tougher material and would last a little longer. But I guess replacing the brush head is cheaper than having to replace the drive motor if it was damaged.

Review by guestPrice Value Quality This item appears to be an 'exact duplicate' of the original found on my Hoover shampooer. The rotation of the 6 spinning brushes does a good job in cleaning my carpets (provided you use a very good shampoo). I am satisfied with this product...and this from someone fairly hard to please. RS

good job of scrubbing the carpet
Review by guestPrice Value Quality Brush does a good job of scrubbing the carpet, however the fibers from the carpet do tend to easily store up in the bristles and around the base of the scrubbers. When the fibers are around the base, it is difficult to clean out.
