On the back is an approx 2” connector that fits around the pvc exhaust pipe. Our construction is brick so I had to remove a little mortar from around the installed 2” pvc exhaust pipe. The flange sticks out from the vent by about 5/8” and makes a firm seal around the exhaust pipe. Hope this helps.....
