Did you ever resolve this issue? The little black plastic piece that this roller fits into cracked and I cannot find a replacement piece. When I called Shark they told me I would have to purchase a new vacuum head for $89.00. It's not even a year old yet. I was very discouraged. Hoping there is a better solution.
