I hate the small almost brushless tool that came with the vacuum. I don't need another one like it. I was so hoping this would work being larger and having bristles that would actually get in the grooves or my wood floors and thile instead of bouncing over them. Is there no adapter that might make it work?

This doesn't come with the small hole. You need following tool for the kenmore vacuum cleaner
